Donald Trump Made an Unexpected Appeal to the Crowd for July 4 Event

President Donald Trump made an unexpected appeal to Americans in his speech on July 4th, Independence Day, while formally kicking off celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary with the Great American State Fair. Trump begged attendees at the rally to show up for his speech on Independence Day, seemingly in fear of seats remaining empty for the anticipated event.

Donald Trump asks crowd to ‘please show up’ at July 4 event

President Donald Trump appealed to attendees at the opening of the Great American State Fair on Wednesday night at the National Mall, which included stealth bombers, military bands, singer Lee Greenwood of God Bless the USA fame, and a speech.

Trump asked the attendees to show up for Independence Day so the media could not report on his failure to muster excitement.

“Then, on July 4th, we will have the greatest show of all on the National Mall. Your favorite president will be speaking. So please show up. Because if we have two empty seats, you know what’s gonna happen? The fake news is gonna say he didn’t fill out the arena,” the President said at the official opening of the celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary (via The Mirror).

Many soon hit out at the President, claiming that they were not interested in any big speech that Trump plans to make on the day.

In the rally on Wednesday, Trump also seemingly tried to convince Americans that he has solved the controversial Iran War and that things are going back to normal on all fronts. “There has never been anything like the United States of America, and together we are making it bigger and better and stronger and far more exceptional than ever before,” he said in the speech, “Nobody’s laughing at us anymore.”

This rally came shortly after the humiliating ordeal of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington.
