Kate Middleton Plays the ‘Long Game’ Better Than Most Royals — Expert

Kate Middleton reportedly has the ability to play “the long game” better than most royals. A royal biographer and expert recently noted that the Princess of Wales has carried herself elegantly since her marriage to Prince William.

Under the late Queen Elizabeth II’s guidance, the mother of three seemingly learned how to connect with people while protecting her private life. For those unversed, the royal historian, Catherine Mayer, is known for examining the lives of the women of the family to the crown.

Expert says Kate Middleton carefully protects an air of mystery around her private life

Royal author Catherine Mayer claimed that Kate Middleton is said to be a “player of the long game.” During a recent episode of HELLO!’s “A Right Royal” podcast, the expert shared her thoughts on the Princess of Wales.

She said that Prince William’s wife seemed to have been careful about her reputation and her sense of style. Moreover, she has carried out her duties with patience and consistency while maintaining an air of mystery over time.

“She’s gone almost entirely into the silver-screen age, which says ‘classic and elegant’. She never tries to go high-fashion in a way that would be challenging,” the historian stated. According to her, Middleton has always stayed “calm” and “true” to herself.

Furthermore, the future queen has reportedly learned an important lesson from the late monarch. Mayer, who has also examined Queen Elizabeth II in her book, mentioned that Middleton can seemingly connect with people easily. She has reportedly been carefully maintaining a sense of mystery around her.

Meanwhile, Mayer has recently released her new book, Divide & Rule: Royal Women and Their Battles. It explores the complicated and misunderstood lives of women in the British royal family. Aside from Middleton, she has also addressed Anne Boleyn, Queen Victoria, Meghan Markle, and Queen Camilla.
