Prince Harry has reportedly “forced” his father, King Charles, into a “difficult position.” As per royal expert Rebecca English, he has broken the royal family’s circle of trust. Previously, Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from royal duties and settled in the U.S. a couple of years ago. Meanwhile, English made the claim in a special live edition of the Daily Mail Palace Confidential podcast.
Prince Harry has reportedly ‘smashed’ Royal Family’s trust
As per Rebecca English, Prince Harry has reportedly put his father in a predicament. The royal expert made the revelation on the Palace Confidential podcast. Guests of the show were asked to comment on the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming visit to the U.K. to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games. English stated that sources have revealed to her that King Charles felt “forced” into meeting his younger son the last time they met at Clarence House last September.
English, who is the royal editor at the Daily Mail, shared that Charles is “not a bad” or “an uncaring man.” She also assured listeners that “he loves his son.” However, Harry has put him in a “very, very difficult position.” “He has betrayed a lot of family intimacies. I don’t want to use the word ‘secrets,’ but it’s certainly intimacies,” English added.
English explained that the Royal Family has a “small circle of people that they can trust,” and once someone is in that circle, they remain there. However, Harry has “smashed that with a hammer.” Earlier, the Duke of Sussex levied some serious allegations against his loved ones in his 2023 memoir, Spare. In it, Harry wrote about his fractured equation with his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. He also mentioned that his father did not hug him when his mother, Princess Diana, passed away.
Previously, TV host Mark Dolan expressed reservations about the couple’s motivations to return to the U.K. In an exclusive chat with Bronte Coy on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive, Dolan alleged that it is clear that the Duke and Duchess “want to be back in the Royal fold.” Dolan predicted that the Prince of Wales would be “furious,” as he cut ties with his younger brother and his wife a long time ago.
