Prince William has always maintained that once he becomes the king, things will be different in his reign. And after watching how open the future monarch has been with the public from the past few months about some of his personal life and work, an expert believes King Charles’s elder son is quietly building a public vision for the monarchy.
Prince William is quietly building a public vision for the monarchy, says expert
Prince William is opening up to the public like never before. By giving a sneak peek into his family life to sharing about his passion for Aston Villa football club to talking about periods with young activists, among others, he is showing what kind of king he wants to be, per an expert.
Sharing her take on how William is quietly building a public vision for the monarchy, Royal Editor, Emily Nash, mentioned in Hello! Magazine that “these moments of openness” from the future monarch “are becoming increasingly common.” She added, “They show us who he is and the values that will shape his future reign.”
Pointing to his recent appearance on the Heart Breakfast radio show, the friend told the expert that William is “so relaxed and down to earth. You saw it there. What you see is what you get.” Moreover, he is now also comfortable talking about the things that are common to every parent.
Be it about the chaos of the school run, dancing along to Taylor Swift with his daughter, or never-ending arguments over the family playlist, he has opened up about them, sharing glimpses of his personal life with the public.
And this has made Nash believe that “we know William now better than ever before.” But despite being open, “he remains fiercely protective of the things that matter most to him.” The expert further thinks that with the Earthshot Prize and Homewards initiatives, William will also succeed as a modern monarch as he has found a “relatable” cause and a “purpose” to link with the people.
Even Safiya Saeed, Sheffield city councillor and founder of the charity Reach Up Youth, told the outlet that since William “brings his authentic self” along with “energy, vibe and recognition.” They added, “People feel recognised, seen and valuable. The future King cares.”
