Prince George Will Follow in Dad’s Footsteps With This Big Milestone

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s son, Prince George, will be attending Eton College. Like father, like son — this suits the Prince of Wales and his firstborn. Following his dad’s footsteps, the soon-to-be 13-year-old will be going to the same school.

Kensington Palace recently announced that George would start his session in September. Until now, he had been studying at Lambrook School in Berkshire with his sister, Princess Charlotte, and his brother, Prince Louis.

Prince William and Kate Middleton will be sending their son, Prince George, to Eton College. It is the same school that the Prince of Wales and his brother, Prince Harry, attended at age 13. On July 22, George would reach the same age and would become a boarder, BBC reported.

According to the report, Kensington Palace confirmed that King Charles’ eldest grandson would be following in his father’s footsteps. Melanie Sanderson, the school guide’s managing editor, told the outlet that the institution has “spectacular facilities and spacious grounds.” Although the property consisted of “ancient buildings,” it is “a modern school with a progressive outlook.”

“Most 13-year-old boys arriving there in September cannot possibly know what adult life holds for them,” she continued. However, Sanderson clarified that the situation with George appeared to be different. He will be attending Eton College because he “faces a very particular future.”

“His parents, with an unrivaled choice of schools available to them, have decided that an Eton education represents the best preparation for life as a modern working royal,” she added.

According to the outlet, Eton was not the only choice for William’s son. The future king and Middleton were said to have also considered Marlborough College. It was the school that the Princess of Wales attended. Between the two, the doting parents went with the more traditional option.
