King Charles is reportedly being “blackmailed” into a reunion with Prince Harry over the Invictus Games. The claims were made during the latest episode of “The Scoop,” the weekly newsletter by NewsNation featuring host Paula Froelich.
They discussed the Invictus Games, which will be held in 2027. JJ Anisiobi said, “There’s no way he could have the Invictus Games on British soil, and not one single member of the royal family turn up to it. That can’t happen.”
According to “The Daily Espresso” host, the situation is all about capturing the limelight and grabbing headlines. Anisiobi claimed that Prince Harry knows very well that if no one from the royal family attends the Games, it would cast King Charles in a negative light.
He argued that it would look bad if the King is not seen supporting individuals who have served their nation. He continued, “Just by virtue of having the Games here in England, Harry has forced the royal household to send someone.”
According to Anisiobi, Prince William and Kate Middleton are not expected to attend the Games. Queen Camilla could attend, but only if she accompanies King Charles. While Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could also attend, he suggested that their presence alone would not be enough.
He believes that the Invictus Games require a strong royal presence that can only come from Charles and Camilla, or no one at all. The report also suggests that sources have told Anisiobi that the monarch could attend the Games. However, he would do that on his own terms.
