Renowned UFC fighter Josh Hokit’s bizarre comment on former First Lady Michelle Obama has made him the perfect target for comedian Jon Stewart, who made sure to give the sportsman an earful for his remark. In his latest monologue, the late-night talk show host blasted Hokit for disrespecting Barack Obama’s wife on national television, going as far as to call him an “a**hole.”
Jon Stewart slams Josh Hokit over Michelle Obama comment
On the June 15 episode of his late-night talk show, the 63-year-old comedian talked at length about the UFC Freedom 250 event that took place on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday.
During the bit, Jon Stewart showcased a clip of Josh Hokit referring to Michelle Obama as a man. “Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America!?” the 28-year-old UFC athlete said while celebrating his win with Joe Rogan.
Replying to Josh Hokit’s remark, Jon Stewart noted on The Daily Show, “My God, what a f*****g a**hole. F*****g a**hole. I look forward to his performance on next week’s ‘Comics Unleashed.'”
Notably, Hokit’s statement against Obama came after he secured a commanding win against heavyweight giant, Derrick Lewis. He dominated proceedings throughout the fight before earning a second-round TKO victory. Following his win, Hokit thanked Donald Trump for “having the b***s” to organize an event like UFC Freedom 250, before unnecessarily firing shots at Obama.
Before his rant on Josh Hokit, Jon Stewart had called out conservative media for glorifying the UFC Freedom 250 event, despite having criticized Knicks fans for celebrating their team’s title win in New York.
“Yes, Sunday night gave the President and his acolytes an opportunity to rebut the joyous communion of teamwork that embodied the New York Knickerbockers for a joyless, Vegas-style trudge through the people’s house, now transformed into a gold-plated pummeling center where the gladiators’ god was praised for his forbearance, and of course, nutsack,” the Primetime Emmy Award winner quipped.
Stewart further added, “What a god-awful mockery of an event that somehow managed to find a way to devalue both combat sports and our national dignity.”
