A new rumor suggests that Marvel might be eyeing a Heated Rivalry star to play Hulkling in an upcoming Disney+ series. The new series will reportedly feature a team of teenage superheroes. They will be the Earth’s primary saviors after the events in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie rumored for Hulkling in Champions project
MyTimeToShineHello, a popular scooper on X (formerly Twitter), posted, “Connor Storrie is being eyed to play Hulkling in the MCU starting in Champions.” However, this has not been confirmed by Marvel and is still only a rumor at this point.
Storrie is best known for playing Ilya Rozanov in the hit Canadian sports romance series Heated Rivalry. If the new report is true, this would mark the actor’s second superhero project. He previously had a brief cameo in Joker: Folie à Deux.
In the comics, Hulkling, also known as Theodore “Teddy” Altman, is a member of the Young Avengers. He is the biological son of Mar-Vell (the original Captain Marvel) and the Skrull Princess Anelle. After escaping a death order from the Skrull Emperor, Teddy was raised on Earth by his Skrull nurse under a human identity. Believing he was a mutant, he joined the Young Avengers after being recruited by Iron Lad. He possesses abilities such as shape-shifting and superhuman strength.
The MCU could take a different approach to the character’s origins, however, and he is expected to lead the Young Avengers in Champions.
Marvel is currently focused on releasing its three highly anticipated movies: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars. So, details about Champions are currently kept under wraps. Given that Secret Wars will release in 2027, the show could premiere sometime in 2028 or 2029.
The Young Avengers team is also expected to feature Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop/Hawkeye, America Chavez, Cassie Lang, Riri Williams/Ironheart, and Billy/Wiccan.
