Avengers: Doomsday Rumor Roundup: 2 Dead Heroes, New Synopsis & More

Several Avengers: Doomsday rumors have surfaced. These highlight a possible synopsis for the movie, the return of two dead characters, and more. Below is a roundup of everything shared.

List of the latest Avengers: Doomsday rumors

A possible official synopsis

Popular scooper MyTimetoShineHello shared what they allege is the first official synopsis of Avengers: Doomsday. It teases the involvement of multiple heroes from three distinct universes, which was previously known. Earth-616, or the main MCU timeline, includes the Avengers, New Avengers, and Wakandans. Meanwhile, the Fantastic Four hail from Earth-828, while the X-Men come from their own universe.

Two dead MCU heroes to join Thor in fighting Doctor Doom

MyTimetoShineHello claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and Idris Elba’s Heimdall will cameo in Avengers: Doomsday. The scooper said that the pair will aid Thor in the final battle against Doctor Doom and his army. However, Marvel has not officially confirmed Portman and Elba’s involvement in the film.

This rumor follows the scooper’s earlier one in February, where they claimed that Thor’s army helping him fight Doom comes from Valhalla. Accordingly, it makes sense that Foster and Heimdall appear. This is because both characters, who died in battle, were seen in the Norse afterlife in the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder.

The Spider-Man 4 connection

MyTimeToShineHello teased a tragic ending for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Responding to fellow scooper Yellow Minutes’ scoop that the hero would meet a shocking fate, they described it as “very tragic.” This tracks with a wave of fan speculation suggesting Savage Hulk could fatally injure Spidey during their fight in the movie.

Sam Wilson and Yelena Belova’s central roles

MyTimetoShineHello claimed that Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/Captain America and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova/Black Widow will have key roles in the story. They suggested the former would have a “decent” role and that the latter is the “female hero with the biggest role.”

Avengers: Doomsday premieres in theaters on December 18, 2026. Anthony and Joe Russo directed from a screenplay by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely.
