Jennifer Lopez calls this classic movie ‘arousing’

On Brett Goldstein’s podcast Films to Be Buried With, Jennifer Lopez gave spicy answers about the 1993 classic, True Romance. When the host asked her about a “film you found arousing that you weren’t sure you should,” Lopez chose the romantic thriller written by Quentin Tarantino and began expressing her admiration for its characters. “There are all these very seedy characters in the movie,” she said.

The 56-year-old continued, “You have Christian Slater, who works in this record store and has hallucinations of Elvis, who’s played by Val Kilmer.” She added, “And then you have Patricia Arquette, who couldn’t be better as the hooker with the heart of gold, the sweetest.” Lopez exclaimed how she “would have had sex with any one of them!” The pop icon further explained, “That is the truth. Which says a lot about me, but maybe like the dark side of me. But all of them were so incredibly f–king good in this movie.”

She also gushed over Gary Oldman’s Drexl Spivey, mentioning “The gold teeth” and “dreads”. Lopez adds that Patricia Arquette’s Alabama Whitman looks “sexy” even after being beaten and bruised. The award-winning actress continued, “You still wanna kinda kiss her on the lips. You know what I mean? It’s crazy, that movie.”

Talking about True Romance, it was directed by Tony Scott. The film focuses on Clarence, who ends up falling for a prostitute named Alabama and talks to her pimp so that they can be together. Things turn upside down when he ends up killing the pimp and escapes with expensive drugs. The film opened to positive reviews but failed at the box office. However, it managed to garner a cult following over the years.
