Lara Trump’s latest tour video of the White House has garnered criticism from netizens, with social media users calling out Donald Trump and his daughter-in-law in the comment section. In her video, she tried to showcase some of the many structural changes he had adopted at the presidential residence. However, several users interpreted it as a waste of taxpayer money and made sure to express their disapproval of the spending.
Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara’s White House tour video labeled ‘disgusting’
On June 5, the My View host shared a clip from her Fox News show on social media, where she could be seen taking a tour of the White House Rose Garden.
Lara Trump, who is the wife of Donald Trump’s third child, Eric, praised the POTUS’s decision to replace the Rose Garden’s lawn with a hardscape patio, stating that the area was “far better without the dirt.” She then switched focus to the gold-colored presidential medallions placed by Trump “all over the place.”
“The President has an affinity for these medallions,” Lara noted in her Instagram video.
The revamped segment of the White House, highlighted by Trump’s daughter-in-law, instantly drew backlash from several Instagram users. One simply wrote, “Any damn excuse in the book to take the taxpayers money. Any excuse at all.” Another described her tour video as “disgusting.”
A third user focused attention towards the ongoing geopolitical conflicts, including the Iran war, stating, “The world is burning, innocent people are dying from our money and missiles and this is what y’all think matters.”
Meanwhile, one user compared the Trump administration to that of John F. Kennedy, writing, “How about feeding the Americans who need food. You Trumps have not one ounce of the grace the Kennedy had.”
In her tour video of the White House, Lara Trump also covered plaques of different Presidents placed on the outer walls. The one dedicated to Joe Biden simply referred to him as ‘Autopen’ and also described him as the “worst President.”
