Unbroken, the World War II drama, is scheduled to exit the platform later this month. According to Tudum, the biographical war film will be removed from Netflix on June 16, 2026.

Released on December 25, 2014, Unbroken is a World War II survival drama directed by Angelina Jolie. The film adapts the remarkable real-life experiences of Louis Zamperini, an Olympian whose life was forever changed by the events of the Second World War. The film follows Louis Zamperini, a former Olympic runner who serves in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

After his aircraft crashes in the Pacific Ocean, he and two fellow crewmen spend 47 days stranded at sea before being captured by the Japanese navy. Zamperini is then sent to a series of prisoner-of-war camps. There, he endures brutal treatment while struggling to survive and maintain his resilience throughout the war.

Jack O’Connell portrays Louis Zamperini in the film. The supporting cast includes Domhnall Gleeson as Russell Phillips, Garrett Hedlund as John Fitzgerald, Miyavi as Mutsuhiro Watanabe, and Finn Wittrock as Francis McNamara, among others.

The film received a mixed response from critics upon release. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a 53% critics’ score based on 230 reviews. Audience response proved more positive, with a 70% rating on the platform. Keith & the Movies reported, “Unbroken is a competent and well-intentioned movie centered around an inspiring true story.”
