Zoë Kravitz to lead the cast of Megan Park’s new movie
The Batman star has been chosen to headline a new mystery feature from the Canadian filmmaker, who gained acclaim for her directorial debut, Fallout.
According to Deadline, Zoë Kravitz will take the leading role in Megan Park’s untitled project, which is being developed for Apple. Story details are being kept confidential, with the studio yet to reveal information about the plot or supporting cast.
Park will direct the film from an original screenplay she wrote herself. In addition to directing, she will executive produce the feature. Apple Studios is producing the project alongside LuckyChap and FilmNation. Moreover, Tom Ackerley and Bronte Payne will oversee the production on behalf of LuckyChap.
The collaboration also continues Park’s working relationship with LuckyChap, the production company behind her 2024 feature, My Old Ass. The coming-of-age drama received widespread praise after premiering at Sundance. Following that film, Megan Park partnered with the company again on the drama series Sterling Point. It was ultimately acquired by Amazon after a competitive bidding process.
For Zoë Kravitz, the casting comes during a busy stretch of her career. Beyond acting, she recently stepped behind the camera for her directorial debut with Blink Twice. She was also recently seen in Caught Stealing and made appearances in the Apple comedy series The Studio. Kravitz’s upcoming projects include How to Rob a Bank, in which she appears alongside Nicholas Hoult.
Meanwhile, further information regarding the project’s story, cast, and production timeline is expected to be revealed as it moves forward.
