Cullen Crawford reveals Netflix has canceled Strip Law after one season

Netflix has canceled the adult animated series Strip Law after Season 1, which originally became available on the streaming platform on February 20, 2026. The show’s creator, Cullen Crawford, took to Bluesky to announce the cancellation and express thanks.

“So they told me there’s not going to be any more Strip Law at Netflix, I really can’t be anything but grateful,” Crawford shared. “At every phase, it was made by talented people in pursuit of nothing but pure chaotic delirious joy, and I’m so, so proud of it. Thank you to everyone who gave it chance. I thought it was funny.”

Crawford also disclosed a “huge secret” about what would have been the series finale, noting that Bluesky users had been a “f—ing champion” for the show. Crawford revealed that the skeletal remains in the show’s credits belong to Scott’s Lincoln Gumb. Further, the cards around him are from Janelle James’ Sheila Flambé.

Additionally, the voice cast of Strip Law includes Stephen Root as Glem Blorchman, Shannon Gisela as Irene Gumb, Keith David as Steve Nichols, and Paget Brewster as Marcia Gumb. Its plot revolves around Lincoln, a lawyer who gathers an unusual group of employees for his new law firm following his ouster from his late mother’s firm.

The above-mentioned cancellation happened despite Strip Law receiving an overall positive critical reception. The series currently has a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Writing for Variety, Alison Herman observed in her review, “Vegas can do a number on visitors, let alone a local — but Strip Law has a fondness for vintage flair and showmanship that proves infectious.”

Notably, Strip Law has now joined the growing list of animated shows that Netflix has scrapped after their inaugural seasons. Other entries in this list include Mulligan, Agent Elvis, and Q-Force.
