Donald Trump declared himself in perfect health after his latest visit to Walter Reed. The president addressed ongoing health questions with a brief but confident update following his physical exam.
Donald Trump says ‘Everything checked out perfectly’ after medical exam
President Donald Trump declared “everything checked out perfectly” after completing his physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Monday, Reuters reported. The 79-year-old president, who turns 80 on June 14, shared the update through a brief Truth Social post. He offered no specific details about the results of his six-monthly exam.
The visit marked Trump’s third trip to Walter Reed in 13 months. Recent photographs showing a blotchy neck rash have fueled ongoing questions about the president’s health. White House physician Sean Barbabella previously confirmed Trump uses a common cream as “a preventative skin treatment” to address the rash.
Trump frequently portrays himself as more energetic and fitter than his predecessor, Joe Biden. Biden left office last year at age 82 after facing persistent questions about his fitness. The former president was later diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that spread to his bones.
Images from July 2025 showed Trump with swollen ankles and a bruised hand concealed with makeup. Barbabella stated in a letter that the ailments were benign at the time. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt attributed the leg swelling to a “common” vein condition.
Trump also underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam last October during a second physical. Medical experts noted that MRIs are not typically part of routine physical examinations. Trump dismissed any concern, stating the doctor called it “the best result he has ever seen.”
Barbabella later revealed that Trump’s cardiac age was approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. Trump maintains an active golf schedule despite joking about his reliance on a cart. He became the oldest person to assume the presidency when he began his second term in January 2025.
