The Studio Season 2 Release Date Window for Apple TV Revealed

The Studio Season 2 just locked in its return window, and the cast is already making big promises. The show’s stars revealed what fans can expect from the Apple TV+ comedy’s upcoming season.

Lionsgate confirms when The Studio Season 2 will get its release date

Lionsgate confirmed The Studio season 2 will arrive on Apple TV+ sometime in 2026 (via Variety). The company revealed the release window as part of its quarterly earnings report. However, neither Apple nor Lionsgate provided an exact premiere date or specific months for the return.

The cast has already begun teasing what audiences can expect from the upcoming season. Seth Rogen told Radio Times at an Apple TV event celebrating the BAFTA TV Awards 2026 that the new episodes raise the bar. “Season 2, which we’re in the midst of shooting right now, is far more ambitious,” Rogen said. He added that the process has been “very difficult to achieve” but called the results “very exciting.”

Rogen also promised more star-studded appearances in the sophomore outing. “It’s really allowed us to work with some people that I’m amazed we’ve been able to work with,” he shared. He later noted that “a couple of people do come back and there’s many, many, many new ones as well.”

Co-star Ike Barinholtz echoed Rogen’s enthusiasm about the show’s expanded scope. He described the second season as operating on a “massive scale.” “We have gone to different countries, we’ve gone to more cities, we’ve tackled bigger institutions,” Barinholtz explained. He specifically highlighted the show’s recreation of the Venice Film Festival as a standout moment.

The first season earned strong reviews and featured cameos from Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos. Hollywood legend Catherine O’Hara played a leading role in Season 1, but sadly passed away and could not work on the second season.

The Studio Season 2 will stream on Apple TV+ later in 2026.
