John Krasinski teases what’s next for his Jack Ryan after Ghost War
John Krasinski recently spoke about the prospect of returning as Jack Ryan after the franchise’s latest movie, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, didn’t receive a positive reception from critics or fans.
Krasinski’s Jack Ryan series debuted on Prime Video in 2018 and has four seasons. During a recent interview with MovieWeb, Krasinski was asked whether he would be open to bringing more of his Jack Ryan to screens. In his reply, the actor stated that he would “100%” be on board to do so. However, this would happen only if fans want to see him return as Ryan.
Krasinski said, “I think that we have been so unbelievably blown away and moved by the outpouring of love for this show and now for the movie, hopefully, because I think I get called Jack at the airport more than I do Jim now, which is a big deal for me.”
He asserted that he is a fan not only of the series and the movies but also of Tom Clancy’s books. He added that he would “love” to follow the story further. Krasinski conveyed, “I love following the breadcrumbs that Tom Clancy left. So, hopefully, I get another chance to do it.”
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, which was released on May 20, has so far received a lackluster score on Rotten Tomatoes. While the Prime Video series holds an 80 percent score on the platform, the movie has a 45 percent score based on critic reviews and 52 percent based on audience reviews.
