Donald Trump Makes Bizarre Comment About ‘Good Looking Men’

President Donald Trump addressed Coast Guard graduates on Wednesday. The speech blended congratulations with comments on graduates’ bodies. Trump gave the commencement address at the US Coast Guard Academy, where he praised students, made unsolicited remarks about their physiques, and launched into a series of political tangents that dominated much of the nearly hour-long event.

New DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin introduced Trump, describing the president’s belief in “peace through strength.” However, he quickly adjusted his claim by saying, “but some people only understand strength,” before Trump took the stage.

Trump opened with broad claims about the nation. “Our country is hot,” he said, contrasting it with what he called a “dead country” under the previous administration. He also addressed Iran’s military, saying “everything’s gone,” and asked aloud, “do we go in there and finish the job or do we sign a document?”

He briefly covered familiar graduation territory, acknowledging proud parents and hardworking students, before the individual recognition portion came. As a student honored for academic achievement approached the stage, Trump said, unprompted, “I hate good-looking men.

When the top fitness scorer came forward, Trump told the crowd, “I wanna check him out… Look at the muscles on this guy! I just hit him on the shoulder and hurt my hand, it’s like hitting a rock!” Trump framed the remarks by saying, “it’s competition for me too. I have to compete with you now!”

Donald Trump’s speech at Coast Guard Academy also touched on crime statistics, illegal immigration, and tariffs, which he claimed is his “favorite word in the dictionary.” He also spoke about Iran’s nuclear program, drug trafficking at sea, Venezuela, and Space Force, which he called “my baby.” After nearly an hour, he closed with life advice for the graduates: “Never, ever give up,” “think big,” and “work hard (via The Independent).
