Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, who is also a former reality TV star, dubbed himself the newest “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” in a spoof video for his campaign.

In the spoof of the theme song from the beloved 90’s show, Pratt rapped about the story of how the L.A. fires forced him to abandon his Pacific Palisades home and cruise around in the streets of LA.

Spencer Pratt, a candidate in the Los Angeles mayoral race, rose to prominence as a primary cast member of the reality television series The Hills. He gained further public attention after dating Heidi Montag. Pratt recently released a spoof video for his campaign.

Pratt parodied The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air by Will Smith. He changed the lyrics to narrate how the Los Angeles fires forced him to abandon his Pacific Palisades home and drive around the streets of Los Angeles.

“In West Los Angeles, Palisades, in my backyard is where I spent most of my days,” Pratt sang in the spoof song, “Feeding humming birds, relaxing all cool, avoiding all the bums outside of the school/When a couple politicians, who were up to no good, started making trouble in my neighborhood/I got in one little fire and my mom got scared, and she said you are moving in with Harvey Levin in Bel Air.”

In the video, Pratt also spray-painted, “They let us burn!” on a barricade wall before pulling up to Hotel Bel-Air. “I moved to my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit at my throne as the Prince of Bel-Air,” he concluded the song.

“Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down,” Pratt wrote in the caption of the X post.

The post received many positive reactions, with fans seemingly impressed with the quirky campaign video. However, some fans weren’t as impressed, leading to a mixed comment section.

Pratt, who announced his intention to run in January, has emphasized issues such as homelessness, public safety, and government spending throughout his campaign.
