John Bernthal‘s The Punisher may receive one more Marvel project, according to the latest rumor. Additionally, there’s a promising update featuring Daredevil in the MCU.
Next Punisher solo project rumored to be in works after Spider-Man 4
According to trusted insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is moving forward with a follow-up to The Punisher: One Last Kill. Daniel has been mostly consistent with his scoops, but nothing is official at the moment.
It’s yet to be seen whether the next project featuring The Punisher will be a Special Presentation, a revival series, or a movie. As for the character’s journey ahead in the MCU, John Bernthal’s The Punisher will next be seen in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. After that, he may return in a solo project, according to the report.

In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Bernthal teased Frank Castle’s arc moving forward and what fans can expect from him. “I do think that there are ways now after this special that we can find him in a place where I’m not going to tip off what’s coming, but what I will say is, I think you’re going to get a version of him going after the bad guys, going after the people that are causing harm and havoc to good people.”
He added, “I think he’s going to be able to start personalizing that. And with Frank, when he personalizes something, it’s something to deal with.”
Interestingly, there’s another rumor, from My Time To Shine Hello, suggesting that Marvel Television is now looking for writers for the Heroes For Hire TV show. It will feature Daredevil alongside Iron Fist and Luke Cage after their return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 in 2027.
As for The Punisher, his Special Presentation, One Last Kill, is currently streaming on Disney+. On the other hand, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, featuring him, is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
