Avengers: Doomsday Casts Actor for Steve Rogers’ Son – Report

A new report suggests that actor Wesley Holloway has been cast as Steve Rogers’ son, James Rogers, in Avengers: Doomsday. Although Holloway’s casting has been officially announced, it is still unclear whether he is playing the aforementioned role. Doomsday, starring Robert Downey Jr. as the villain Doctor Doom, is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18.

Wesley Holloway cast in Avengers: Doomsday, rumor says he’s James Rogers

Actor Wesley Holloway, who has been confirmed for the Avengers: Doomsday cast, is reportedly playing Steve Rogers’ son, James.

The rumor arose after scooper My Time to Shine Hello reacted to the news of Holloway’s casting by writing, “Jim Rogers you poor thing.” MTTSH mentioned the word “poor” in relation to a claim they made previously that suggested Doctor Doom may kill Steve Rogers’ son in Avengers: Doomsday.

In a post in March, the scooper claimed, “Yes, it’s true Doom kills Steve’s son in front of him in one of the most shocking moments in the film.” MTTSH further noted in another post that Robert Downey Jr’s Doom is “ruthless and doesn’t care about killing kids.” Moreover, recently, a user named James Mack stated, “There are indeed some disturbing deaths in Avengers Doomsday. Doom likes to kill children.” He also described the movie as “a massive gathering of heroes, packed with action and plot twists. Basically, it feels like a comic book event brought to life, the greatest superhero movie of all time.”

Evans and Downey reunited at the 2026 CinemaCon recently to reveal the trailer for Doomsday. Speaking of his return to the MCU after retiring as Steve, Evans said, “You know, I said I would only come back if there was a real reason. And in Doomsday, there is a very real reason that these heroes need Steve Rogers.”
