Don’t Expect To See 1 Spider-Man in Avengers: Secret Wars – Report

According to a new report, Spider-Man fans may not get to see a live-action version of Miles Morales appear in the upcoming film Avengers: Secret Wars. Morales was last seen in the 2023 animated Sony movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and will be next seen in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is scheduled for release in 2027. Notably, Avengers: Secret Wars is also scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2027.

Miles Morales likely won’t be in Avengers: Secret Wars

Recently, scooper Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus suggested that a live-action version of Miles Morales might not appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.

During a Q&A session, Perez was asked by a fan if there are any updates on whether a live-action version of the character will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars or any other project soon. In response, Perez simply said, “Nothing yet, I’m afraid.”

Previously, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige gave an update regarding the potential appearance of Miles Morales in the MCU. As per Variety, when speaking at a roundtable press conference in July last year, Feige said that Sony Pictures had told Marvel to “stay away” from Morales. He stated that the progress on seeing a live-action Morales showing up in the MCU is “nowhere.”

Morales will next show up in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, photos of which were revealed at CinemaCon 2026. In one image, Morales is seen sitting with his father, and in another, he is being attacked by another Spider-Man variant. Another image shows Spider-Punk with the line “gonna save your dad.” The images and the film’s release date were also shared on Instagram with the caption, “A new look at Spider-Man: Beyond the #SpiderVerse. In theatres 6.18.2027.”

While speaking at CinemaCon 2026, directors Justin K. Thompson and Bob Persichetti teased that the movie is an emotional and spectacular “final chapter of Miles’ story.”
