Donald Trump’s Son Barron Compared to ‘English Princess’ by MS Now Host

MS Now host Lawrence O’Donnell has criticized President Donald Trump‘s youngest son, Barron Trump, for not enlisting in the U.S. Army amidst the ongoing Iran war. During the Wednesday episode of his “The Last Word” show, O’Donnell ripped into the 20-year-old. He claimed that Barron is following his father’s footsteps by avoiding the draft.

MS Now host slams Barron Trump amid Iran war

Lawrence O’Donnell slammed Barron Trump, criticizing him for not joining the military as the war in Iran continues. “After Barron Trump celebrated his 20th birthday in lavish style last week, as a Trump, he could have marched straight down to a recruiting station and joined the army to fight in his father’s war. But he didn’t,” the MS Now anchor slammed.

O’Donnell added a scathing remark, saying, “The world waits for the emergence of the first brave Trump.” He went on to cite examples of political figures in the past whose children had served in the military during times of war, referring to former President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four children as well as Queen Elizabeth II.

O’Donnell referenced Queen Elizabeth II’s role during World War II, when she drove an ambulance in London for the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS). Drawing a comparison, the MS Now host criticized, “Does Barron Trump know how to drive? Could he drive an ambulance in the Army, or is he not quite as tough as the 18-year-old Princess Elizabeth was when she joined the war effort?”

He added, “Imagine. Imagine being more spoiled than an English princess on her way to becoming queen of England. That is what it means to be a Trump – more spoiled than the British royal family.”

The MS Now host also recalled the U.S. President’s own history of dodging the draft. “Donald Trump himself, of course, repeatedly and famously avoided the military draft during the Vietnam War, ultimately getting out of it with a note from his doctor saying that his feet, that he spent the rest of his life playing golf on, just could not serve in any capacity in the army, not as a driver, not an office job, just nothing,” he said.

O’Donnell also criticized Barron’s older brothers, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., for not enlisting after 9/11. “Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump followed in the family tradition of silently watching others go off to war,” the anchor stated.
