Donald Trump brings Jake Paul during Kentucky event
President Donald Trump invited boxer and podcaster Jake Paul onstage during a rally in Hebron, Kentucky, where the president publicly encouraged him to consider entering politics. Trump told the crowd he believed Paul could run for office in the future and offered his support despite Paul not currently campaigning for any position.
“I’m going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office,” Trump said. “You have my complete and total endorsement.” Paul appeared onstage at Trump’s request and addressed the audience at the event held at Verst Logistics. He referenced lessons he said he learned from Trump and spoke about political engagement and personal determination.
“What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage. We never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you, much, much bigger than you,” Paul said. “I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same way. You guys have that fight. You guys have that swag.”
Paul said he grew up a few hours from the rally location in Hebron, Kentucky, and referenced manufacturing jobs while speaking about the facility hosting the event. “My dad taught me to fight and all of our voices matter in America,” Paul said. “I’m never afraid to speak the truth.”
Trump also explained that Paul had invited him to appear on his podcast, an offer he said he initially hesitated to accept while serving as president. “His local podcast is big stuff and he’s big stuff,” Trump said. “This guy has guts.”
Paul is known as a professional boxer and online creator who hosts a podcast and has built a large following on social media platforms. Trump introduced him to the crowd before inviting him to speak there.
