Harvey Weinstein Says Gwyneth Paltrow ‘Stabbed’ Him in the Back

Harvey Weinstein said that Gwyneth Paltrow “stabbed” him in the back during his first major interview from behind bars. The disgraced Hollywood mogul touched upon many topics during his interview, including his beef with Peter Jackson and why Gwyneth Paltrow speaking out against him was much more hurtful than other women doing the same.

Harvey Weinstein addresses Gwyneth Paltrow’s allegations

Harvey Weinstein spoke about a variety of things during his interview with The Hollywood Reporter from prison. He addressed how he felt some actresses who spoke out against him had exaggerated things.

But he claimed that Marty Supreme star Gwyneth Paltrow doing it was the one that hit him the hardest. He detailed why he felt so when he was asked why “of the many women who have spoken out” against him, “Gwyneth Paltrow has been particularly upsetting.”

Weinstein explained, “Because she was a good friend of mine. I don’t know what drove her to do what she did. To make such a big deal over nothing.” He proceeded to describe the incident from his perspective, “I walked out of a nice meeting with her and said, ‘How about a massage?’ And she just went, ‘No, I don’t think so.’ I got the message.”

He continued, “I never put my hands on her. She told Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt came to me and said, “Don’t do anything like that with my girl.” I said, “Don’t worry, Brad. I got it.” But then Gwyneth goes on Howard Stern and The New York Times and makes a big deal about it all. She knows that nothing happened. But this person, who was a friend, who owes her career to me, just stabs me in the back. She wanted to be part of the crowd. I won’t forgive her for that.”

Paltrow came forward during the investigation into Weinstein in 2017 and claimed that he allegedly touched her and suggested a “massage” during the filming of Emma. Paltrow was only 22 at the time.

Harvey Weinstein remains one of the most controversial characters in Hollywood.
