Benny Blanco discussed his hygiene habits in the latest episode of his “Friends Keep Secrets” podcast. The record producer recently went viral after fans noticed his dirty feet during the show’s first episode.

Benny Blanco sat down with Ed Sheeran in the Tuesday, March 10 episode of his “Friends Keep Secrets” podcast, co-hosted by Lil Dicky and his wife Kristin Batalucco. During the conversation, the record producer discussed his hygiene habits, amid fans calling him out for showing his dirty feet in the show’s debut episode a couple of weeks ago.
“Do you shower every day?” Blanco asked Sheeran during the interview, to which the singer replied, “Yeah, sometimes twice a day, mostly twice a day actually.” The “Perfect” hitmaker then told Blanco, “I feel like I’m like you, though I look like I don’t smell good. But actually, you’re the best-smelling person I know.”
The compliment earned a smile from Blanco, who said, “I know, I smell good.” The record producer also stated, “And I never, like even if I don’t shower…” before he was interrupted by Batalucco, who asked to smell his hand. Batalucco took a whiff of Blanco’s hands while Burd quipped that the Grammy-nominated star “always smells good.”
The exchange comes just two weeks after Blanco went viral for showing his bare feet on the podcast’s inaugural episode. At one point during the show, he sat with his feet exposed to the camera, a moment which quickly went viral.
Blanco later addressed the backlash during a February 26 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! “People seem to be fascinated with the idea that Benny’s feet are very dirty,” Kimmel joked during the show. Blanco then explained, “First of all, it’s the facility’s fault. It’s not mine.”
The musician jokingly added, “I have great feet,” then took off his socks to show them off. “Someone zoom in on my foot. Look at that clean foot,” he declared.
