Benny Blanco tells Jenna Bush Hager which qualities he wanted in a partner
Benny Blanco appeared on the Open Book with Jenna podcast, where he shared a list of qualities he wanted in a partner.
Jenna Bush Hager asked Benny what things he had included in his list. Blanco said, “So, my number one was I said, I’m not going for anyone under the age of 30. Ok, that was number one on my list. Number two was someone who woke up with, like, a good disposition. Like, they woke up ready for the day. Happy. Excited. And, like, obviously, some days are better than others.”
Blanco explained that he wanted qualities like kindness compassionate in a relationship. He said, “Someone who was just kind and compassionate and someone who wanted to have fun wanted to have adventures and then really, for me which i thought is so important is i wanted to date a woman who has her own career and even in, no money aside, just did something she loved and was passionate about.”
Blanco shared how he and Selena spend their time after coming home. He said, “Like when I come home at night and Selena comes home and tells me what she did. I’m so interested. She makes me feel so good standing next to her.”
Blanco also asked Hager about her relationship and how she met her husband.
Blanco’s comments highlighted the qualities he values in his relationship with Gomez, especially her independence and passion for work.
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez started dating in July 2023 and got engaged in 2024. The couple tied the knot on September 27, 2025. Blanco has been openly affectionate about his relationship with the singer.
