Ted Season 2 Reviews Draw the Same Reaction From Critics

Ted Season 2 recently dropped on Peacock, and early reviews indicate that critics are largely sharing similar reactions. Many have highlighted the show’s strong comedic moments and described the new season as extremely funny.

What critics are saying in Ted Season 2 reviews

The second season of Ted has drawn largely positive reactions from critics. Several critics noted that the show continues to deliver its signature crude humor while placing more focus on the Bennett family.

Writing for Game Reactor, Ben Lyons praised the series for maintaining the tone that worked in its first season. He noted, “So, Ted’s return in this second round of episodes won’t blow you away or surprise you with how it’s re-writing the script for television comedy, but that’s fine, as it’s fun, easy to watch, and gut-wrenchingly hilarious at times too.”

Rachel Weber of IGN highlighted the show’s wide-ranging and outrageous humor across the eight episodes. She wrote that the season moves through storylines involving teenage impulses, marital complications, and several bizarre moments. The critic added the show introduces enough new plot threads to keep viewers engaged. “Season 2 proves that Ted isn’t just a one-trick bear and the rest of the Bennett family can pull their comedy and emotional weight,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, Sean Boelman of Fandom Wire described the new season as slightly weaker than the first one. He wrote, “While season 2 of Ted is a clear step down from the first, it has enough humor and heartfelt charm to carry it through its weaker moments.”

Nate Richard of Collider wrote, “The structure of Ted Season 2 helps make the series even more comfortable in its own skin, spending far more time with the other members of the Bennett family to boot.” He also emphasized that the show maintains MacFarlane’s signature comedy style.
