The investigation surrounding ex-Prince Andrew has entered a quieter phase after police wrapped up the search at his former home. The operation followed his arrest in a case that has generated renewed scrutiny of the royal family. While many expected new revelations, officials have cautioned that updates may take time. For now, the focus shifts to ongoing investigative review rather than public announcements.
Police conclude Ex-Prince Andrew’s former home’s search with no likely updates
As per GB News’ report, Thames Valley Police confirmed that search operations at ex-Prince Andrew’s former home, Royal Lodge, have officially concluded following the recent arrest. According to Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright, officers have now withdrawn from the location after completing investigative activity connected to the case.
“Officers have now left the location we have been searching in Berkshire,” Wright said in a statement, adding that the search formed part of inquiries launched after the “arrest of a man in his sixties” last week. He emphasized that while the search phase has ended, the broader investigation remains active.
Authorities have cautioned that further updates may not arrive anytime soon. Wright noted that investigators require “time and space” to continue their work and indicated that new information is unlikely to be shared in the near future, despite widespread public interest.
The searches at Royal Lodge followed earlier police activity at Wood Farm, where Andrew is understood to be residing temporarily. That location was examined earlier in the week before officers shifted focus to the former royal residence over the weekend.
Buckingham Palace was reportedly not informed ahead of the arrest, according to GB News. Following the news, King Charles issued a brief statement expressing his “deepest concern.” He further stressed that authorities have the royal family’s “full and wholehearted support and co-operation.”
Continuing, the statement read, “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.” Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton are also said to back that position.
