Jimmy Kimmel, who has faced a lot of heat from Donald Trump and his supporters of late, has come out to react to the recent fundraiser email that directly targeted the veteran comedian. The late-night talk show host responded to the email campaign in his first Live! episode after its brief hiatus due to the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Jimmy Kimmel reacts to Donald Trump’s fundraiser email
On the February 23 episode of his late-night talk show, the Primetime Emmy winner brought an ongoing fundraiser email to the attention of his audience.
Claiming that this “one hit me personally,” Jimmy Kimmel highlighted the said email. It was sent on behalf of Donald Trump, who urged its recipients to push back against the comedian.
“Over the break, a fundraising email from one of his many money grabs was sent to a number of followers. The subject line was, ‘DJT: Get Trump Out of Your Mouth!’—which somehow is not a line from the Trump-Epstein files,” Kimmel quipped on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as he began going through the email line-by-line.
Moving on to the third paragraph of the email, Kimmel further read, “He thinks he can sit in his Hollywood studio and laugh at the greatest political movement in the history of our country.” He instantly mocked the claim by noting, “Yeah! Sometimes I stand, something I sit and laugh.”
The seasoned TV host then resumed his oration of the ‘MAGA Rally Blitz’ mail. “While he’s busy reading a teleprompter for a tiny audience of coastal elites, I’m getting ready to address a massive crowd of MAGA PATRIOTS at the State of the Union,” he read.
Kimmel responded by claiming that he’ll be hosting a special show “to laugh at all the stupid things he says at that MAGA State of the Union.”
The pro-Donald Trump email concluded with a click button that read, “Join MAGA Blitz Now.” Making fun of the strange name, Jimmy Kimmel noted, “What even is that? It’s like something you’d order at Dairy Queen, right?”
The 58-year-old then added, “Why is the president, in his second term, even sending fundraising emails? Maybe he needs it to pay all the big, beautiful tariffs he has to give back now?”
This was in reference to the Supreme Court recently ruling against the president. Kimmel also called it “Trump’s most humiliating legal defeat yet.”
