Dove Cameron’s New Steamy Show Officially a Streaming Hit, Amazon Celebrates

Amazon Prime Video’s new series, an erotic thriller, has emerged as a streaming success. The Dove Cameron-led series has climbed streaming charts and is pulling strong audience numbers, signaling a clear win for the platform’s latest suspense romance gamble.

Dove Cameron’s 56 days tops Prime Video’s streaming charts

Dove Cameron leads 56 Days, and the series has been gaining momentum since its release. The story tracks Ciara and Oliver, played by Cameron and Avan Jogia, as their whirlwind romance slowly twists into a dark murder mystery.

The viewership numbers back the excitement. As of February 19, 2026, the show climbed to No. 3 worldwide on Prime Video and No. 4 in the U.S., according to FlixPatrol rankings. At the time, it sat behind Beast Games and Fallout, while pulling ahead of Cross and The Night Manager. Now, Amazon has confirmed the series sits at the top of the global streaming charts on Prime Video.

Critics have landed somewhere in the middle, but viewers are clearly locked in. On Rotten Tomatoes, the thriller holds a 61% critics’ score but a fairly strong audience rating. Meanwhile, Metacritic lists it at a 54 Metascore, pointing to overall average critical reviews. Even so, the big audience numbers indicate that the show is hitting the right notes with viewers despite the split critical reaction.

Critics see both wins and weak spots. Variety critic Aramide Tinubu described the series as engaging, noting it works best because viewers never quite know what’s coming next. Over at Collider, Jasneet Singh pointed out the show stumbles early but eventually finds its emotional footing. Decider writer Joel Keller took a tougher stance. He argued the central romance feels forced and said the shifting timeline can start to wear thin.

Created by Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher and executive produced by James Wan, all eight episodes of 56 Days are now streaming on Prime Video, and its chart momentum shows no signs of slowing.
