Sterling Point, a new coming-of-age drama series, is arriving on Prime Video on August 5. The show follows the heartfelt story of the teenage protagonist, Annie Jacobson, whose life takes a drastic turn after she inherits an island from her grandfather.
Created by Megan Park, Sterling Point stars Ella Rubin as Annie and Mark Ruffalo’s son, Keen Ruffalo, as her twin brother. Other notable cast members of the show include Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jay Duplass, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Amélie Hoeferle, Bo Bragason, Missi Pyle, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, and more.
The hidden cottage and family secrets at the heart of Sterling Point
Prime Video’s Sterling Point centers on Annie, an ambitious New Yorker who lives with her twin brother and a loving adoptive father. However, her city life soon comes to an unexpected halt when she receives two shocking pieces of news.
First, she gets rejected from the prestigious Wharton program that she had anchored her summer plans on. Secondly, Annie learns that her mysterious maternal grandfather has died and left her his island in Ontario’s Lake Muskoka.
Annie decides to move to Sterling Point, where a whole new life awaits her. The 17-year-old navigates new friendships and romances on the island as some untold family secrets begin to unravel. The show promises heart, laughter, and tears, all in the backdrop of the stunning Canadian landscape.
The show is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Fake Empire, and LuckyChap. Co-showrunner Megan Park also serves as the director. Additionally, Park is an executive producer alongside Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, under their Fake Empire banner, and Dani Gorin and Tom Ackerley under LuckyChap. Principal photography of the show began on June 26, 2025. It wrapped on October 10, 2025, in Toronto, Canada.
All eight episodes of Sterling Point’s debut season will arrive together on Prime Video today. The streamer will also bring the series to more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
