A father reportedly shot his 23-year-old daughter in Prosper, Texas, on January 10, 2025. It has been claimed that this came after the two argued about US President Donald Trump. The news broke out after an inquest was opened at Cheshire Coroner’s Court. The victim’s boyfriend conveyed details about the tragic day. According to the woman’s boyfriend, Sam Littler, the incident took place before Trump was inaugurated for his second presidential term.
British woman shot dead after argument about Donald Trump
According to a report by BBC News, a British woman named Lucy Harrison was shot dead by her father, Kris Harrison, in Prosper, Texas, after arguing about Donald Trump.
The inquest revealed that the incident took place in January 2025, and Lucy’s boyfriend, Sam Littler, conveyed that the shooting happened after a “big argument” took place between the two. It was also revealed that Kris had been in rehab for alcohol addiction and relapsed on the day of the shooting.
Despite the death being investigated by Cheshire police as possible manslaughter, no criminal charges were made against Kris. This was after a local court did not indict him.
Littler was on a US vacation with Lucy. He stated that she was also very upset with Kris owning a gun. In his statement, Littler disclosed that the argument between the two about Donald Trump escalated when Lucy asked Kris, “How would you feel if I was the girl in that situation and I’d been sexually assaulted?” However, Kris reportedly replied that he wouldn’t be upset as he has two other daughters. He further stated that the answer left Lucy upset.
Littler further revealed that before they had to leave for the airport, Kris took Lucy to his bedroom. According to Littler, fifteen seconds later, he heard a loud noise and Kris shouting. He said, “I remember running into the room, and Lucy was lying on the floor near the entrance to the bathroom, and Kris was just screaming, just sort of nonsense.”
On the other hand, Kris, in his statement, shared that he wanted to show his daughter his gun. He stated, “As I lifted the gun to show her, I suddenly heard a loud bang. I did not understand what had happened. Lucy immediately fell.” He also claimed that he doesn’t recall pulling the trigger of the gun.
