Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC, has joined the list of high-profile celebrities who have spoken against Donald Trump’s criticism of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show. The Congresswoman recently reacted to the current US President’s assessment of the Puerto Rican singer’s latest performance, quipping that she can relate to his dilemma of not being able to understand the Super Bowl act.
AOC mocks Donald Trump after Bad Bunny comments
During a recent media interaction, the renowned Democrat was asked to comment on the POTUS’ statements on the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
As seen in the video posted by a Reddit user, a reporter approached AOC and highlighted how Donald Trump expressed difficulties in comprehending Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance, given that the act primarily featured songs in Spanish. She chuckled at the question before jokingly noting, “I barely know what Trump is saying half the time, so… I feel him.”
AOC’s reaction comes after Trump publicly criticized the “Dakiti” hitmaker’s recent outing in Super Bowl LX. Taking to his Truth Social profile, the two-time president labeled the halftime show as a “mess,” before describing it as “absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!”
Trump further added, “It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This “Show” is just a “slap in the face” to our Country.”
Since then, several celebrities have come out to condemn Donald Trump, including Jimmy Kimmel, who contested the president’s outrage during his latest talk show episode.
In a similar fashion, Jon Stewart called out the businessman-turned-politician for slamming Bad Bunny. He noted, “Why the f— is it the Super Bowl halftime entertainer’s job to unify the country? In what world is that their job? Oh, isn’t there another person whose job description is much more along those lines?”
