Kid Rock clears the air after lip-sync accusations

Kid Rock has responded to the accusations of lip-syncing at the conservative group TPUSA’s All-American Halftime Show during a recent appearance on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle. Speaking with host Laura Ingraham on February 10, the singer defended himself, explaining that he faced technical issues while singing “Bawitdaba” from his Devil Without a Cause album.

“It was out of sync,” Kid Rock stated. “Actually, just to have some fun with the haters. I can’t answer all the trolls, but it’s going to be some fun. My DJ, who actually raps that song with me, he was not lit up,” he continued.

The “All Summer Long” singer added, “He’s coming to Nashville tonight, flying in. We’re going to do that live in my living room, and I’m going to post it tomorrow to show people exactly how this works.” He then explained, “It would’ve been super easy to sync it up if it was prerecorded.”

Kid Rock went on to explain that his energetic stage presence might have contributed to the issue. “I’m jumping around the stage like a rabid monkey, rapping my song, and I’m taking breaths, and my DJ is filling in the other parts of it… I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like, ‘You guys got to work on that sync. It’s off,'” the musician said.

The musician concluded by reiterating, “It was just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right. It was very difficult.”

Kid Rock headlined the TPUSA Halftime show, which was organized as an alternative program to the 2026 Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show. It was announced shortly after the NFL named Puerto Rican megastar Bad Bunny as the headlining artist for its Halftime show.
