Bridgerton Fans Expose Shocking Editing Error in Season 4

Following the release of Season 4, fans of Bridgerton are calling out a clear production error. Social media users began sharing screenshots and clips shortly after the first episodes dropped. The observations surfaced days after Netflix released the season’s first half and quickly spread across TikTok.

Bridgerton viewers reveal major production mistake in Season 4 premiere

Netflix’s period drama Bridgerton has prompted renewed online debate following the release of the first half of its Season 4. On social media, viewers have highlighted what they believe are technical oversights in the opening episode. The season was released in two parts, with the first four episodes arriving on January 29, 2026. Meanwhile, the remainder season is scheduled for release on February 26.

One of the most widely-shared observations focuses on a brief moment involving Katie Leung, who plays Araminta, the stepmother of Sophie Baek. Social media users circulated screenshots showing what appeared to be a modern band-aid on Leung’s ear, used to conceal a cartilage piercing. Fans questioned how the detail made it into the final cut of a period drama. Some even suggested that it could have been hidden with costume adjustments or editing.

Taking to TikTok, one user wrote, “Bandaids in this era?! The ton want to know.” Meanwhile, another person added in the comments section, “I wish they had covered it better—like put a fancy ear cuff up there or something.” As of now, neither Netflix nor Leung has commented on the issue so far.

Beyond wardrobe concerns, some viewers also criticized the season’s visual effects. They pointed to a carriage scene featuring Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek that circulated on social media. In the clips, fans said the digital backgrounds looked more artificial than in earlier seasons. According to The Express, one user wrote, “The fake backgrounds were very obvious this season.”

Season 4 follows Benedict Bridgerton, portrayed by Luke Thompson, and introduces a romance with Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha.
