Victoria Beckham’s Wedding Dance With Son Had ‘Nothing Inappropriate’ — Source

Victoria Beckham is back in the spotlight for a short and reportedly “inappropriate” dance with her son, Brooklyn Beckham, at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz. The footage has circulated before, but it is making headlines again after Brooklyn publicly claimed that the dance made him feel uncomfortable. But now, friends close to Victoria insist the criticism has gone too far.

Victoria Beckham has ‘nothing to apologize for’ over ‘inappropriate’ dance claims, says source

Victoria Beckham’s friends claim that her dance with her son, Brooklyn Beckham, at his wedding has been misunderstood. At the center of the issue sits a wedding reception performance led by Marc Anthony, who called Victoria to the stage, and her eldest son joined her for a brief dance while Anthony performed. According to friends who spoke to the Daily Mail, the backlash that followed has been unfair. In that, it has painted a normal mother-son moment as something else.

A friend commented, “Why shouldn’t Victoria be tactile with her son? She is tactile with all of her children and she always has been,” adding, “She has nothing to apologise for, yet she has been vilified for that dance for almost four years now and that is disgusting. The Beckhams are a tactile family.”

Moreover, the friend rejected any suggestion that the dance crossed a line, saying, “It is deeply unfair and upsetting.” They added, “There was nothing inappropriate about the dance. Nicola just didn’t like that Brooklyn was dancing with his mother so she ran off crying.”

Another moment that friends pushed back on was the claim that Victoria drank too much that night, insisting that she had not had a drink until after her dance with her son was over. Additionally, a wedding guest disputed the idea that Victoria and Brooklyn shared a private moment, telling the Daily Mail, “It was actually a big group dance.” They described Nicola’s reaction as “all very over the top for something so uneventful.”

Victoria’s circle insists that she shared a harmless dance with her son, Brooklyn, in front of family and friends. And they believe the online chatter has turned just another wedding memory into a public shaming she doesn’t deserve.
