Sex and the City Franchise Might Just Continue After This Update

The Sex and the City franchise may have breathed its last in 2025 with the finale of its spin-off series, And Just Like That…, but Kristin Davis believes that more content can still happen. In a recent interview, the Hollywood veteran noted that she doesn’t consider the final episode of And Just Like That… to be the conclusive chapter of the Sex and the City series, and admitted that she still wants to “do something else.”

Kristin Davis doesn’t believe Sex and the City ended with And Just Like That… finale

During a recent podcast appearance, the Golden Globe nominee linked up with former co-star Mario Cantone and talked about the ending of Sex and the City. During their conversation, Cantone, who played Anthony Marantino in the SATC universe, expressed that he “just wanted one more season.”

“I agree. I absolutely wanted one more season, too,” Kristin Davis responded in the January 18 episode of Are You A Charlotte?. Cantone then pointed fingers at the middling finale of Sex and the City spin-off series, And Just Like That… He noted, “I don’t care what anybody says, that was not a series finale. It was a season finale, but that wasn’t a series finale.”

Davis not only agreed but revealed that she has yet to see the And Just Like That… finale. “I’m in denial, and I would like to remain that way,” she said.

The General Hospital alumna then disclosed that she has a plan to end the franchise the right way, stating, “This is not based on anything real. In my mind, we’re going to do something else. I don’t think it’ll be a whole season, but I think we will do something else. But obviously, no one knows who owns us right now, you know. So there’s that that’s got to be worked.”

Moreover, Kristin Davis revealed that even though she has met with And Just Like That… showrunner Michael Patrick King “a couple times,” the duo hasn’t discussed future Sex and the City projects. “He doesn’t say that. But I’m just, in my hopeful way, you know, going with that,” she said of their meet-ups.

Notably, Davis essayed Charlotte York Goldenblatt, one of the four protagonists, on both Sex and the City and its spin-off, And Just Like That…
