Taylor Swift and Blake Lively‘s texts about Justin Baldoni are cited in court documents tied to “It Ends With Us.” Swift allegedly wrote in one of the texts, “I think this b**** [Baldoni] knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.” The Grammy winner’s text thread is circulating online right now. Meanwhile, the chatter around Baldoni gained more traction as more messages surfaced online. Moreover, the text messages reportedly show the “Gossip Girl” alum venting about the director in blunt terms.
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s texts reportedly included nicknames for Justin Baldoni
According to a recent Daily Mail report, Justin Baldoni’s legal team cited messages from April 2023. In those papers, they claimed Lively referred to him as “this doofus director of my movie.” They also alleged she called him “a clown” who “thinks he’s a writer now.” The filing even included Swift’s reply: “I’ll do anything for you !!” Afterward, Lively allegedly responded, “You were so epically heroic today.” She also praised the singer for being “the world’s absolute greatest friend ever.”
However, Lively’s side pushed back on the filing’s framing. Her team said she did not order a script endorsement. Still, Swift and Lively’s texts regarding the director of “It Ends With Us” excerpts were included in the record. Separately, the documents described a later chat about trailer music. Swift allegedly advised, “If Justin was strategic He would be like no Taylor swift in the trailer.” Lively reportedly replied, “You are so right… He should’ve run from your music… How stupid.”
The papers also said she “recapped” the meeting to her husband, Ryan Reynolds. They added that friends in their orbit heard similar frustrations. For context, Lively starred opposite Baldoni in “It Ends With Us,” adapted from Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name. Ultimately, Lively’s calling Baldoni a “clown” is one slice of a bigger dispute. The case is ongoing, with both sides filing responses.
