Brendan Fraser Is Still Stuck on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Brendan Fraser is riding high in his Hollywood comeback, but off-screen, he’s facing a very different kind of challenge. He is currently mastering The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The actor admits that he’s struggling against the game’s punishing mini-bosses and tricky weapons system.

Brendan Fraser shares he wants to get good at The Legend of Zelda

Brendan Fraser recently spilled about his gaming struggles in an IGN interview. He admitted he’s “still stuck” on the 2017 fan-favorite, Breath of the Wild. He’s having a tough time taking down the brutal Lynels. As per Fraser, he just wants better weapons without getting defeated by every Lynel out there. “I want to know how to get better weapons without getting my ass kicked by all the Lynels,” he expressed.

He also laughed about the shortage of bomb flowers, essential for pulling off creative moves in the game. While guides exist online, Fraser said he’s determined to figure it out on his own. He wants to tackle challenges and soak in every part of the adventure exactly as the game was meant to be played.

Outside of gaming, Fraser’s career is firing on all cylinders. He’s set to play Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower in Pressure, a film exploring Eisenhower’s World War II leadership and his presidency from 1953 to 1961. On top of that, fans are excited for Fraser’s return as Rick O’Connell in the fourth Mummy movie, picking up the adventure that originally put him on the map.

Meanwhile, the Zelda world is leveling up as well. With Tears of the Kingdom getting an upgrade for the Switch 2 and a live-action movie on the way, Fraser’s timing couldn’t be better to sharpen his gaming chops. The film stars Bo Bragason as Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. It will hit theaters before streaming exclusively on Netflix.

Fraser has always been a fan favorite, starring in hits like The Mummy series, George of the Jungle, and Encino Man. After taking a step back from the spotlight for a while, he made a comeback with his emotional role in The Whale, even earning an Academy Award.
