Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was recently compared to Taylor Swift by someone who knows him best. His wife, Tammy Reid, drew the parallel while speaking about Swift’s personality and long-standing connection with the family.
Andy Reid’s wife talks about Taylor Swift
Andy Reid’s wife, Tammy, told TMZ that she has known Swift for decades, dating back to their time in Philadelphia. “We met Taylor back in Philly maybe 20 years ago … and have kept in touch ever since,” she said, adding, “She’s a good person.”
Despite Swift’s global fame, Tammy said the singer remains easygoing and relatable. “She’s just a regular person that is super famous,” she explained. “Kinda like my husband!” Tammy also shared that she and Swift have overlapping hobbies, reinforcing her description of the pop star as approachable. “Taylor is just the girl next door,” she said. “We have a lot in common, she needlepoints, she bakes, she cooks, she’s made pop-tarts for coach and some of the players.”
Andy Reid has also publicly praised Swift in the past. Speaking to People in August, the four-time Super Bowl-winning coach said, “She’s a good girl, first of all,” before adding, “And I mean, might be the most famous lady in the world right now since the queen has passed away.” He continued, “But what a phenomenal person she is.” When asked whether she knew when Swift and Travis Kelce might get married, Andy Reid’s wife Tammy declined to share any details.
These comments come during a difficult stretch for the Kansas City Chiefs, who were eliminated from playoff contention following a Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The defeat ended Kansas City’s run of 10 straight postseason appearances and seven consecutive AFC Championship Game trips. Despite the team’s struggles, Kelce led the Chiefs in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns this season and earned his 11th Pro Bowl selection.
