Michael Jackson impersonator Fabio Jackson believes impersonators like him should get a shot at starring in biopics. In an interview with TMZ, the content creator shared his thoughts and experiences of playing his lifelong muse. Fabio expressed that impersonating the King of Pop comes with a lot of pressure and responsibilities.

“Do you feel there is a lot of pressure to live up to like Michael’s image when people see you, or is it just something you just have fun with?” the reporter asked during the interview.

“No, there is a lot of pressure for sure. But I do have fun with it. I have fun, and of course, I’m a fan, I honour him. Uh, I just appreciate the man a lot, but it’s a big burden at the same time. Because there is such a, it’s a heavy shoe to fill, you know”, the 32-year-old answered.

When asked about his stance on impersonators being allowed to audition for their muse’s biopics or movies inspired by their icons, Fabio said. “Yes, I think so. They work so hard. I think they should definitely because they work so hard and they have a lot of love for Michael and their fans, and I think they should have a chance.”

The interview went viral in no time, garnering divided reactions from fans on X (formerly Twitter).

“He should have been MJ in his biopic”, one concurring fan tweeted. “I support him because I see a reflection of Michael in him”, another chimed in.

Meanwhile, a disagreeing fan commented, “2025 is so crazy. What do you mean, the biggest Michael Jackson impersonator is getting interviewed by the TMZ media outlet.” “In what reality??? Lmao” another ridiculed.

Amidst the ongoing buzz, fans expressed their excitement for Michael Jackson’s biopic, titled “Michael,” starring his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, all set for an April 24, 2026, release.
