Donald Trump‘s new White House Press Secretary wants this major Hollywood star to portray her on SNL. Katie Zacharia held her debut press conference on October 13. She was appointed after Karoline Leavitt stepped down as Press Secretary in August to spend more time with her family.
Katie Zacharia wants Scarlett Johansson to portray her on SNL
Katie Zacharia, who Donald Trump appointed as the new White House Press Secretary, recently revealed in an interview which actress she wants to portray her on SNL.
According to The Mirror, Zacharia sat down with political activist Jack Posobiec, who suggested that after the former’s first briefing, Saturday Night Live might feature her as a character in its next sketch. He added, “You know, this Saturday they’re probably going to be doing something.”
He then asked who Zacharia thinks will be the best pick to play her on SNL. In her reply, the Press Secretary stated, “Maybe a Scarlett Johansson type character.” Reacting to her answer, Posibiec said, “I could see that because she’s on there a lot. Yeah, I could see that.”
Fans have named Johansson one of their favorite A-listers to host SNL. Saturday Night Live often does a funny sketch about the Trump administration that takes a dig at its policies. When asked if she would be interested in watching the sketch if it airs, Zacharia said, “I do not want to see any of the other X or Instagram or TV right now.”
Zacharia has become a hot topic on social media recently after her first briefing, which lasted about 14 to 15 minutes. Although the President praised how Zacharia handled the reporters, many people, especially Trump’s critics, described her first press conference as a disaster.
During the press conference, Zacharia appeared to struggle to answer reporters’ questions. She also mistakenly referred to her husband as the President.
