Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shared intimate details while recalling his first-ever trip to Italy with Taylor Swift during the latest episode of the New Heights podcast on December 3. Speaking with guest George Clooney — who owns a home in Lake Como — Kelce reminisced on the early 2024 vacation he shared with Swift during her break from the Eras Tour.
“Oh, yeah, me and Tay danced around Lake Como for a little while, man. I loved it out there,” Kelce said when Clooney asked about the visit. Their May 2024 getaway was Kelce’s “first time” in Italy, and he described the region with clear affection. Kelce also joked that locals frequently point out Clooney’s residence to visitors. “I’ll tell you what, it sits perfectly on that water, man. It’s a beautiful place,” he told Clooney, adding that “everybody out there was so lovely, man.”
Travis Kelce also revealed how much the scenery impacted him, recalling peaceful mornings along the water with Taylor Swift. “Every morning, I was throwing my shoes on running up and down to the water,” he said. “We had gloomy days. We had beautiful days, and every single day was just a new epic realization of what’s really around the world. And I had never even imagined that place, you know, in my dreams.”
The NFL star also praised Italy’s intimate food culture, telling Clooney, “There’s so many little spots that are just so fun to go to dinner too, man… it’s just the best pasta you could ever imagine. It is such a cool place. I recommend that place for everybody.” Clooney echoed his sentiment, quipping that Italians “really celebrate dinner,” making every meal a multi-generational experience.
