The “Law & Order: SVU” star is suddenly at the center of online speculation after eagle-eyed Swifties noticed an unusual gap in her Broadway schedule.
As per them, it appears to line up with the couple’s rumored big day. As with most things involving Swift, it didn’t take long for the internet to put on its detective hat.

The buzz began after fans noticed that Hargitay’s one-woman Broadway show, “Every Brilliant Thing,” is scheduled to go dark on July 3. That date happens to coincide with reports that Swift and Kelce are planning to tie the knot over Independence Day weekend, as per Page Six.
Naturally, the internet connected the dots. Taking to X, one fan pointed out their close bond and wrote, “Swift is a huge fan and longtime friend of iconic actress Mariska Hargitay, named her cat ‘Olivia Benson’ the most unexpected friendship we needed to know!”
Another fan added, “Mariska Hargitay officiating a Taylor Swift wedding would be ICONIC. SVU legend meets Eras Tour queen — the plot twist we didn’t know we needed. Swifties stay winning with these theories.”
The timing is especially interesting given Hargitay’s long friendship with the pop superstar. The two have shared a close bond for years, dating back to Swift naming one of her beloved Scottish Fold cats Olivia Benson after Hargitay’s iconic “Law & Order: SVU” character.
The admiration goes both ways. Hargitay even named one of her own cats Karma, a nod to Swift’s hit song. Their friendship has produced plenty of memorable moments over the years.
