Chris Hemsworth & Sam Rockwell Action Movie Finally Gets Update, Cristiano Ronaldo Joins

Chris Hemsworth and Sam Rockwell are teaming up for an action-comedy centered on the dangerous world of Hollywood stunt work. The project also marks soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut as a film producer. He is launching the venture, UR MARV, with filmmaker Matthew Vaughn.

According to Deadline, Stuntnuts follows two stunt performers who take on a major film assignment to save their community gym. However, the assignment does not go as planned. The production faces a series of complications, with dangerous stunts and the unpredictable behavior of its leading stars creating challenges for the two professionals.

Directed by Damien Walters, the film will have its first market screening at the American Film Market.

Matt Damon joins Chris Hemsworth & Sam Rockwell in Matthew Vaughn’s Stuntnuts

Matt Damon has joined the ensemble in a cameo role. Hemsworth and Rockwell will appear as fictionalized versions of themselves, adding a Hollywood angle to the story. The film also features stunt performers Bobby Holland Hanton, Greg Townley, Paul Lowe, and Haruka Oshima. Hanton has worked extensively with Hemsworth, while Townley has served as Tom Holland’s stunt double in the Spider-Man films. Lowe has worked on Harry Potter and Game of Thrones, while Oshima’s credits include No Time to Die and The Matrix franchise.

The film also draws on an actual incident involving Townley. He broke his back in three places after suffering an accident during production. The filmmakers received his permission to incorporate the experience into the film.

Walters is directing the project, drawing on his experience in the stunt industry. His previous work includes Skyfall, Jurassic World: Dominion, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the Kingsman franchise.

Stuntnuts will have its first market screening at AFM for international distributors. Legendary’s sales label, 193, is handling international sales. The film is the first production from UR MARV, which brings together Vaughn’s filmmaking experience and Ronaldo’s move into the entertainment business.
