What happens in the Love of Your Life trailer?
Aaron Pierre‘s Felix opens the trailer when he asks Margaret Qualley’s Maya what brought her to Europe. It shows Maya stepping off a bus, walking the streets of a European city, and easing into her apartment. She is then shown sharing that space with Gabriel Basso’s Charlie. Answering Felix’s question, Maya reveals (as her younger self steps into an airport) that she put her belongings in two suitcases and threw her phone away. She never looked back after that.
The trailer then goes on to chronicle her life over a decade, where she falls in love with Charlie. However, her life takes an unexpected turn. She later falls in love with Felix. The trailer then shows the life she left behind catching up to her, with Schwarzenegger’s Jason scolding her for disappearing on her friends and family.
The film also stars Catherine Keener, Tamara Lawrance, and Corey Johnson in key roles. It is produced by Project Hail Mary alum Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson. Distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, the film will make its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, 2026.
Love of Your Life will receive a theatrical release on October 7, followed by its release on Amazon Prime Video on October 14.
