Avengers: Doomsday may not feature a major fight scene between two popular MCU characters, according to the latest rumor. Helmed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the anticipated superhero movie will storm into theaters later this year.
Doomsday is expected to feature various fight scenes between Marvel characters. While nothing has been confirmed so far, numerous reports have surfaced online regarding expected face-offs.
Recently, an account on X shared an image that reportedly listed possible fight scenes from Doomsday, numbered 1 to 12. However, not all of them will be featured in the movie, according to insider James Mack.
In response to the original post, the scooper specifically highlighted a rumored fight between Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau. It appears this scene won’t be in Doomsday at all or may have been removed.
While the scooper has a credible record, fans should still take the latest rumor with a grain of salt unless there comes any official update from Marvel.
What other fights will reportedly be in Avengers: Doomsday?
Avengers: Doomsday is expected to have multiple hero battles. So far, the two trailers have confirmed fight scenes between Doctor Doom and Thor, Gambit and Shang-Chi, and Yelena Belova and Mystique.
As for rumored battles, the movie may also feature matchups such as Sue Storm vs. Namor, Reed Richards vs. Nightcrawler, Wolverine vs. Spider-Man, and Loki vs. Doctor Doom. However, none of them have been confirmed by Marvel Studios. Hence, one should take them with caution.
Meanwhile, other Doomsday rumors have surfaced in recent weeks. There was a report claiming that Loki might actually survive his death in a post-credits scene, despite being killed by Doctor Doom.
Another rumor suggests that Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch, who died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, may eventually return.
Avengers: Doomsday’s ensemble cast will be led by Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor, alongside Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/Black Widow, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther, David Harbour as Red Guardian, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, among others.
