Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt’s vampire classic will receive the 4K treatment. Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles is coming with some additional deleted scenes.
In a recent update from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, the movie will be available in 4K Ultra HD digitally from September 22, 2026. Fans can also purchase it on a 4K UHD Blu-ray disc starting the same date. Directed by Neil Jordan, Interview with the Vampire received a nomination at the 67th Academy Awards in the Best Original Score and Best Art Direction categories.
The official synopsis of the movie reads, “In late 20th-century San Francisco, a 200-year-old vampire tells his story–of desire, love, yearning, grief, terror, ecstasy–to a young reporter, weaving the history that has come to be known as Interview with the Vampire.”
What all is included in the Interview with the Vampire 4K release?
The latest digital release comes with some added features. One of them includes the segment, Eternal Night and Deadly Light. Here, fans will learn from Jordan and the editor, Mick Audsley, how they approached the cinematography. This segment will elaborate on how stress was given to the gothic romanticism and was executed properly by the director of photography, Phillippe Rousselot.
Next up, this version will also come with Interview with the Vampire: Creating the World. In this segment, Jordan will comment on the details of the set, coupled with the thought processes that went into choosing the costumes.
Additionally, several deleted scenes will be included, alongside Commentary with director Neil Jordan, Introduction by Anne Rice, Neil Jordan, and Antonio Banderas, In the Shadow of the Vampire, and Lestat, Louis and the Vampire Phenomenon.
The movie is adapted from Anne Rice’s novel of a similar name. Apart from Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, Interview with the Vampire stars Kirsten Dunst, Stephen Rea, Antonio Banderas, and Christian Slater.
