X-Men MCU Reboot May Not Include This Hugely Important Character — Rumor

X-Men Reboot is hit with a new casting rumor that excludes a main character. The casting rumor of a major character was revealed in a recent X post by a scooper. The user has since retracted his statement and added a new one that may shock some fans.

Which important X-Men character might not be in the MCU reboot?

According to the latest scoop on MCU’s X-Men reboot, Magneto might not be part of the upcoming movie. However, this is only a rumor and should be treated as such at this time, as no casting for the Marvel reboot has been officially announced.

In an earlier post made by scooper @MyTimeToShineH, it was stated that Adam Driver will be part of the X-Men Reboot. Moreover, scooper @ApocHorseman corroborated the statement, claiming, “He’s playing Magneto.”

Recently, the latter apologized for the misinformation and stated that Driver will play Mister Sinister instead of the popular antagonist.

When asked by another user if he had any news on the new Magneto, he stated, “I was only saying he was in it because I heard it was Driver but if Driver isn’t him then not sure if he’s in the film.”

The Magnetism Master has been one of the leading antagonists of the previous X-Men movies. Not having him in the reboot would possibly dishearten fans. But the new movie will take a new approach from its predecessor, as stated by the director, Jake Schreier.

Moreover, other casting rumors by the scooper included Bill Skarsgard as Young Charles Xavier and Cooper Hoffman as Cyclops. Additionally, Hunter Schafer and Odessa A’zion were previously rumored to be cast as Mystique and Rogue, respectively. That said, as Schreier confirmed, these are only rumors.

The plot details and crew information are kept under wraps. However, the director confirmed that writers Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo are actively working on the script’s draft. The new X-Men project is still in the early stages of production. It is slated for release on May 5, 2028.
